- Prompt Issue Resolution
A customer of ours, a children’s nursery, approached us with ongoing issues regarding their waste collections. As a business that relies heavily on scheduled, efficient services to maintain regulatory standards, this was affecting their daily operations.
The Challenge
The nursery was experiencing frequent missed general waste collections due to their bins being serviced outside of permitted access times, leading to overflowing bins and overweight charges. Upon disputing the errors with the Waste Provider, the customer was requested to leave their bins out of site, for accessibility. Unfortunately, this was not an option for the customer due to the area which they reside, and for safeguarding purposes.

BSG Waste's Solution
Upon learning about the issue, we took immediate steps to liaise with the existing waste provider on our customer’s behalf, prioritising safeguarding considerations. We provided detailed information, including the nursery’s restricted access times and specific bin locations.
Recognising that the current service schedule did not align with site access, we proposed and arranged for a revised collection day later in the week that would fall within the allowable window. This ensured that collections could occur without obstruction or delay.
The Overall Results
By intervening promptly and coordinating with the waste provider, we were able to resolve the issue effectively. The nursery now receives timely collections without access issues or unnecessary charges. This outcome demonstrates our commitment to supporting clients in the education sector with practical, tailored waste management solutions.
